Interview: Miranda and Barry Otto on their acting dynasty

The Otto family is one of Australia's leading acting dynasties — so when Miranda and her father Barry decided to make a film together, the collective ears of the film industry pricked up.

The pair star in South Solitary, a whimsical drama set in the 1920s on a remote lighthouse island.

MovieFIX presenter Kylie Speer sat down with Miranda and Barry Otto to talk about their rare experience working together and why Miranda's five-year-old daughter Darcey could be the next big thing — and continue the Otto dynasty.

South Solitary is in cinemas on July 29.
