Star of the High School Musical franchise, Zac Efron is being groomed by Disney to take over Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise after the fourth film is released.
According to reports published in the National Enquirer, Disney bosses offered Efron US$10 million ($15 million) to star alongside Captain Jack Sparrow, played by Hollywood hunk Johnny Depp, in the fourth instalment of Pirates.
"Disney knew that Zac was reluctant to do any more High School Musical movies. He had already said there was 'no way' he'd return as Troy," a source told the National Enquirer. "So the Disney brass came up with an offer he couldn't refuse."
