Batman fans of the world can enjoy The Dark Knight ride one more time as Warner Bros has announced they are re-releasing the film in cinemas in January 2009, just in time for Oscars voting season.
According to reports by Reuters, a studio insider told the Hollywood Reporter: "It's just a matter of bringing it back as a reminder for people."
The Dark Knight took the box office by storm when it was released earlier this year earning a whopping US$512 million in the US and US$440 million internationally and with a re-release the film would see its earnings top US$1 billion worldwide.
Despite its box office success however, Titanic still remains the highest-grossing film of all time, with The Dark Knight coming in at second.
